    Associate Learning Designer

    The Associate Learning Designer supports the Learning Designer (LD) and collaborate with the internal creative team to develop e-learning solutions, principally for learners in higher education and workforce training and development. The incumbent works under the supervision and direction of the Learning Designer and the LD Head.

    Responsibilities
    • Support the design and development of content throughout the life cycle of ADDIE process
    • Create learning activities and develop storyboards according to lesson plan and to the needs of the target audience
    • Develop digital course content that enhances knowledge and skills through the application of learning theories using a suite of tools
    • Develop and maintain project documentation and course folders
    • Work within schedule constraints to accomplish assigned tasks
    • Follow current trends and research on innovations and developments of instructional design and technologies

    • Diploma preferably in Multimedia and Interactive Digital Media
    • Minimum 1 year of working experience
    • Possess an eye for details and good computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office
    • Possess excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
    • Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Prior experience with learning management system and rapid authoring tool is an advantage

    Learning Designer

    The successful incumbent will provide digital learning design expertise, principally for adult learning and workforce training and development, including investigating, selecting and implementing the use of new technologies and pedagogies for learning. S/he will also manage content development projects and should be able to:

    Responsibilities
    • Recommend digital learning strategies based on sound learning principles and theories;
    • Recommend appropriate learning technologies;
    • Design online assessment activities that adequately test pre-determined objectives;
    • Design and develop digital content with appropriate content development tools;
    • Design online learning interface that considers good interface design and usability principles.

    • Degree holder with Masters in Learning Design, Education or equivalent
    • At least 5 years’ relevant experience. Candidates must have experience in training needs analysis, designing online learning and online facilitation.
    • Possess a good understanding of industry learning standards and learning systems
    • Possess excellent oral and written communication, client facing and project management skills;
    • Resourceful, creative and able to think and problem solve on the feet;
    • Driven, committed and willing to go beyond the call of duty if required.

    Content Developer

    Kydon Learning Systems Institute is partnering our client, a large government sector organization to provision Content Developers to spearhead their work in transforming training and learning in the digital age.

    The Content Developer will perform the full spectrum of content development operations for an online learning environment, including coordinating, designing, implementing and evaluating content and media rich e-resources. Successful candidates will be based in our client organization and rotated back to Kydon every two years for further industry exposure.

    Responsibilities
    • Work collaboratively with trainers and subject matter experts in client organisation to develop innovative and engaging multimedia elements including audio, video, and graphic/animated components
    • Coordinate between organisation and external vendors to ensure quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the outsourced components of content development efforts
    •  Responsible for the deployment and use of e-content
    •  Day-to-day administration of course management system, including course setup, uploading content, account management and backup and recovery management

    • Diploma or degree in Multimedia Design or related fields
    • At least 2 years relevant working experience for Diploma holders
    • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their use in an instructional environment, such as SCORM, Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, Lectora, Raptivity and creating web pages using HTML, XML, and other web technologies is preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Instructional Designer

    The Instructional Designer will perform the full spectrum of instructional design operations for an online learning environment, including the designing, implementation, administration and evaluation of content and media rich e-resources. Successful candidates will be based in our client organization and rotated back to Kydon every two years for more varied exposure and further training.

    Responsibilities
    • Perform instructional design functions:
    – Develop or improve existing course plan and instructional delivery method
    – Review, design and produce technology-enabled instructional materials that captivate learners to maximise training effectiveness
    – Review and improve evaluation templates and criteria for to assess the effectiveness of curriculum, course delivery, test design and performance measures.
    • Coordinate activities and provide support to learning communities within the organisation
    • Provide design, training and assistance services to trainers on blended/online learning and instructional applications; orientate staff and students to instructional materials, equipment and training
    • Monitor and keep organization updated on new developments in materials, equipment and technologies related to the instructional process
    • Implement and manage new web-based technologies, including course management, assessment and e-portfolio systems; develop and document system procedures
    • Serve as backup for day-to-day administration of the course management system, including course setup, uploading content, account management and backup and recovery management

    • Diploma or Degree in training, education, educational technology, liberal arts or humanities
    • For Diploma holders, possess at least two years of work experience in curriculum design, content development or training.
    • Knowledge of authoring tools, usability, functionality testing method and evaluation methodology
    • Demonstrated understanding of backward and integrated course design as they relate to online course design standards and quality control
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Possess initiative, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Strong interpersonal and project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, think on the feet to problem solve and meet deadlines
    • Candidates with PMP or CITPM certification would have an advantage
